Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking an Electrical Crew Lead to support electrical installation and troubleshooting projects in industrial environments from our Plainville, CT office. This role provides hands-on involvement in a wide range of electrical, controls, and fabrication projects, offering the opportunity to work across multiple service areas within our operating divisions.

In this position, you will lead and perform field installations, including electrical and control wiring, panel fabrication, machine guarding installation, troubleshooting, and system integration. You will also oversee a crew of up to four technicians, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

What You'll Do
  • Execute assigned tasks with technical accuracy, quality workmanship, and on-time delivery

  • Install electrical control systems in industrial and manufacturing settings

  • Perform power wiring (480V, 240V, 120V) using cable and flexible raceways

  • Complete field and panel control wiring, including terminations of peripheral cables

  • Fabricate and assemble electrical control panels

  • Fabricate brackets and hardware for mounting equipment, instruments, or sensors

  • Install machine guarding equipment, including drilling, threading, and tapping for mounting and anchoring

  • Troubleshoot machine control boards, PLCs, and complex industrial systems

  • Install, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and capital assets

  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, drawings, manuals, and work instructions

  • Use precision measuring instruments to verify accuracy and reliability of equipment

  • Work across diverse industrial project types, including:

    • Machine Guarding: Integration of new safety controls and guarding

    • Industrial Remediation/Treatment Systems: Controls upgrades, system improvements, new installations, and troubleshooting (instrumentation, transmitters, motors, heaters, etc.)

  • Refer complex challenges to the Technical Director or Project Manager

  • Maintain strict adherence to internal and client-specific safety standards

  • Apply training in Lockout/Tagout, OSHA 10/30, and NFPA 70E (preferred)

  • Mechanically inclined with excellent hand-eye coordination

  • A clear communicator with strong verbal and written skills

  • Someone with strong manual dexterity and technical aptitude

  • Able to delegate effectively while working hands-on in the field

  • A detail-oriented problem solver who can interpret complex diagrams and schematics

  • Safety-focused and disciplined in following procedures and regulations

  • A reliable team player who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments

  • Intellectually curious and willing to learn new technologies and systems

What You Bring
  • Electrical Journeyman license

  • Strong skills with hand tools and electronic troubleshooting equipment

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting CNC and complex industrial machinery (e.g., vertical turning lathes, milling centers)

  • Experience troubleshooting electronic controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)

  • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and technical prints

  • Experience using precision measuring instruments to assess machine accuracy and condition

  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively

  • Physical strength and stamina to perform installation and maintenance tasks

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Physical Requirements
  • Manual dexterity for detailed electrical and mechanical work

  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and tools

  • Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in industrial field conditions

  • Ability to operate standard electrical, mechanical, and fabrication equipment

  • Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
