  • Define multi-cloud strategy, roadmaps, technical standards, and best practices aligned with agency missions.
  • Architect secure cloud systems that comply with FISMA, FedRAMP, TIC 3.0, and federal security baselines.
  • Guide cloud modernization efforts including containerization, microservices adoption, and infrastructure re-platforming.

Innovation and Strategic Advisory

  • Lead proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pilot solutions demonstrating modernization value.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and automated deployment environments.
  • Ensure cloud solutions include observability (logging, monitoring, tracing), performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
  • Troubleshoot production systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

Cross-Enterprise Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

  • Partner with other architects to build reusable enterprise cloud frameworks, IaC templates, and standardized design patterns.
  • Conduct architecture review boards evaluating scalability, security, interoperability, and compliance.
  • Contribute to LCG's cloud modernization initiatives, including internal playbooks and reference architectures.
  • Share lessons learned to drive consistency and standardization across cloud programs.

Capture, Proposal, and Client Engagement

  • Lead cloud solution development for RFIs/RFPs-including architectures, white papers, cloud costing, and technical volumes.
  • Participate in client orals, representing LCG's cloud strategy and technical thought leadership.
  • Develop cost and resource estimates for cloud components in proposals and recompetes.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer, documentation, and transition support during program onboarding or handover.

  • Develop training roadmaps for staff upskilling in cloud modernization, container platforms, and security.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and operational excellence.

Governance, Compliance, and Documentation

  • Implement governance practices for architectural decisioning, cost management, security, and compliance.
  • Produce documentation covering cloud architectures, data flows, security controls, and engineering patterns.
  • Partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure all systems adhere to federal mandates and cloud security frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
