Hill International is seeking a Commissioning Agent in Miami, Florida


  • Implement commissioning procedures under the direction of the Commissioning Lead.
  • Review design and construction documents for compliance with commissioning requirements.
  • Assist in developing commissioning checklists and schedules.
  • Conduct site inspections and observe system installations.
  • Perform pre-functional and functional performance tests for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
  • Document deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with contractors.
  • Maintain accurate commissioning records and logs.
  • Prepare field reports and assist in compiling final Commissioning Report.
  • Ensure proper documentation of warranties, manuals, and training materials.
  • Support training sessions for District staff on building systems operation.
  • Verify completion of punch list items related to commissioning.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building systems commissioning or construction quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with Florida Building Code, SREF, and ASHRAE commissioning guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in commissioning software and reporting tools.
  • Building Commissioning Certification (e.g., BCCP, CxA) or equivalent is preferred.
  • LEED Accreditation is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
