Under the direction of the division chief and faculty supervisor, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide outstanding inpatient clinical care as part of the Hospital Medicine care team at Hillcrest and Jacobs Medical Centers. The NP is responsible for the evaluation and assessment of medical inpatients. Patients have a wide variety of complex diseases and symptoms, including sepsis, malignant neoplasms, transplant complications, infection processes, and potential hemodynamic instability, among other pathophysiologic processes. Working collaboratively with nurses, consultants, referring providers, and ancillary staff, and drawing on experience and expertise in evaluating and interpreting historical clinical laboratory and radiographic data, the Nurse Practitioner will develop, coordinate, and execute the care plan during the hospital stay. In addition, the NP will evaluate new patients for admission, perform medicine consults, and perform bedside procedures as appropriate. They will also provide education and support to patients and their families as needed. While not required, a cover letter is highly recommended when applying to this position.
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $167,687 - $234,649 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $80.31 - $112.38 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
