Salary: $22/hr

Position Summary: The Homefinding Program Assistant is a member of the Homefinding Unit dedicated to supporting the certification, documentation and recertification of foster homes for Children's Aid's foster care program. The Program Assistant maintains the integrity of foster parent records and enters updated documents in the Binti electronic record so that CA foster homes meet OCFS, ACS and CA's guidelines. The Program Assistant will provide administrative assistance and support to the Homefinding Unit of the foster care system.

Essential Duties:



  • Understand and promote the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Creating an electronic record for all open homes.
  • Sharing the link to the electronic file with foster parents' access and upload updated documents needed for re/certifications.
  • Assigning the record to Homefinders.
  • Uploading foster parent documents and support documents required by OCFS/ACS.
  • Upload training certificates and attendance sheets.
  • Responsible for uploading the certification and recertification packets into Binti.
  • Oversees maintenance of foster parent records within databases and foster home record to ensure compliance, accuracy and consistency.
  • Attends meetings with agency, ACS and OCFS stakeholders to assure Children's Aid's knowledge and compliance with new regulations and memoranda from the various governing bodies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required, College degree preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.



Key Competencies:



  • Computer literacy with some experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook Calendar a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, writing and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Office skills for managing oral and written communication with the team and foster parents.
