In this role, you will participate in project delivery in executing innovative planning, evaluation, design, permit, and construction support services for a variety of Education related clients. You will need experience managing and executing work involving projects for the Education industry. In addition, you will utilize your consulting expertise to manage and execute work on projects.

    A strong background in delivering facilities in the public space.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to lead large multi-disciplined teams to include, marketing, business development, Precon, design and construction background
  • Ideal background would include a strong resume in the K-12, university and college market in the Southeast
  • The company is looking for someone with the vision and abilities to grow the education business to regularly achieve annual revenues between $200-$400 million a year
  • Ability to grow a team and to expand the business into the future, leveraging other strong office regions like Texas and Utah. Scope of Position Provide direction of the day-to-day operations of the division, implementing plans and policies to achieve overall corporate objectives, insuring profitability.
  • Establish and implement divisional policies, procedures, and organizational structure within the boundaries established by the management team and corporate policy.
  • Adhere to and align around operational policies and procedures. Develop annual market specific business plans. Implement business plan strategies

  • Develop, direct, and monitor short-term and long-range plans consistent with overall profit and growth objectives of the company. . Audit business unit monthly overhead financials. Evaluate project pursuit efforts - cost of pursuit budgets and actual costs. Participate in monthly project financials discussion for business unit
  • Plan, staff, and supervise all division activities including personnel administration, performance reviews, defining functions, responsibilities, power-to-act, and the Like. . Work with Market Construction Leader, Precon leads, Business Development and marketing to assign resources to projects
  • Provide guidance and directions to subordinate managers in identifying potential clients and desired scope of projects. Maintain an effective business development program, securing profitable work on a routine basis.
  • Actively participate in business development outreach efforts to include conferences and client meetings.
  • Actively manage Business Development activities, updating the CRM and weekly planning sessions with business development team supporting the market
  • Confer with professional staff to resolve operating problems, authorize divisional operational procedures, and approve all major estimates.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts to facilitate positive relationships and communication.
  • Perform additional assignments as required by the operating needs of the division or as directed by the Group President.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Four-year degree plus ten or more years of experience in an applicable field.
  • Extensive experience in the Education Building Industry.
  • Extensive experience in the management of construction operating units.
  • Advanced knowledge of the construction industry and company operations required.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial operations, marketing, estimating, and employee relations required.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communications, and analytical skills a necessity.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
