AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, MBSE Modeler for its offices in Philadelphia, PA

Job Description:

Provide technical expertise to a team of systems engineers in the development of our Model Based System Engineering ("MBSE") approach to digital engineering, transitioning from document-based environments into a product-centric, integrated, digital enterprise. Develop MBSE processes and methodologies for deployment across the Leonardo enterprise, defining the best practices for model-based systems engineering and digital workflow integration. Create and maintain guidance and training materials to establish consistency and reuse across core systems engineering capabilities including architecture modeling and requirements management. Support the development of enterprise infrastructure to establish authoritative sources of truth for requirements management and system architecture. Coordinate amongst enterprise SMEs, sites, and project teams to capture use cases, develop resources, and support adoption of digital engineering capabilities. Develop and maintain system models and databases for multiple project teams. Prepare presentations to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical professionals. Position may be eligible for part-time telecommuting within the area of intended employment. Domestic and international travel required up to 10% of the time.

Job Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree or the foreign equivalent in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field, plus 6 years of experience in an engineering discipline, with a minimum of 2 years in a systems engineering role.

The required experience must include the following:

  • Two (2) years of experience using the Systems Modelling Language (SysML).
  • Two (2) years of experience with naval and/or aviation systems and operations, and/or air vehicle platforms in the aerospace and defense industry.

Certifications

  • Level 1 ("Model User") certification holder of the OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification.

Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.

Demonstrated knowledge* of:

  • Architecture frameworks such as DODAF, UPDM, and UAF and experience from conceptual design through system validation.
  • Ability to use MBSE tools/models to capture stakeholder and system requirements, create system architectures, capture CONOPS and use-cases, facilitate discussion and understanding of system usage, and enhance a culture of model-based design.
  • At least two programs of record that utilize an MBSE approach to accomplish key development milestones, such as Systems Requirements Review (SRR), Systems Functional Review (SFR), and Preliminary Design Review (PDR).
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a multi-disciplinary and diverse dynamic team environment.

*Knowledge may be demonstrated through coursework, training, and/or experience. Any and all knowledge may be gained concurrently.

OR
