As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Risk, in New York. As a Risk Consultant; Aon Global Risk Consulting (AGRC), you will report directly to the Regional Risk Team Lead.

Your impact as a Risk Consultant (AGRC)

As a Risk Consultant; Aon Global Risk Consulting [AGRC], your role will be to directly consult with clients, collaborate with subject matter experts, interpret / develop actuarial results, plan/deliver with captive managers, coordinate with regulators and develop new consulting opportunities. This position involves being a project leader in the scoping and delivery of projects across the Aon Global Risk Consulting spectrum. Advisory support and projects include Risk Assessments, ERM reporting tool development, captive feasibility studies, retention analysis, limits reviews, reciprocal feasibility, captive optimization studies and Risk Financing Decision Platform analysis. All such AGRC projects are geared towards improving an organization's total cost of risk.

What the day will look like

  • Assists with Captive and reciprocal feasibility analysis, including assessment of capital requirements, lines of coverage, domicile options, pro forma financial projections and compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Identifies developing relevant risk financing trends and formulates conclusions and recommendations based on sophisticated analyses;
  • Assists in developing intellectual capital for all 3 practice areas and based on insightful analyses of optimal risk financing practices, strategies and trends;
  • Leads projects related to the identification of client's critical operational risk exposures and completion of risk diagnostics, including risk identification, quantification and mitigation strategies, risk related policies and procedures, corporate governance monitoring and reporting systems and risk technology systems;
  • Profile's Aon's presence in the Canadian risk consulting market through publications and presentations on an ongoing basis;
  • Leads business development strategy;
  • Builds, expands, and solidifies relationships at all levels within the client's company and leads appropriate resources to address client's needs;
  • Collaborates with sales, brokers, technical services, and support staff to determine and meet client needs and expand sales;
  • Ensures high level of client satisfaction and diligent resolution of critical performance issues;
  • Creates an environment where team members are empowered to address client needs responsively;
  • Ensures operational excellence, including adherence to service management requirements (e.g. Transparency & Disclosure, compliance, signature standards, time tracking, etc.);
  • Drives innovation to help our clients on both products and services and helps Aon team members help our clients;
  • Demonstrates leadership with executive level relationships to solve most complex problems;
  • Provides expertise in servicing high complexity accounts (determined by volume/size of accounts and/or nature of business);
  • Embodies and sponsors Aon's values and vision, business goals and objectives through a variety of effective communication techniques and structures;
  • Fosters and motivates a collaborative team culture across groups, units and teams within the AGRC team;
  • Supports the achievement of organizational business goals by creating positive and productive departmental working environments, recognizing team and individual accomplishments; Lead by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of best practice; and
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $115,000-$125,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York, NY. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
