POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide clinical, technical, and educational support for the Family Wellness Centers (NICU, Pediatric Unit, Mother/Baby and Delivery Rooms) and Emergency Department patients under 18 years of age. EDUCATION: Associates Degree from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy required. Bachelors Degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: 2 years of recent and relevant experience, including critical care experience required. SPECIAL SKILLS: Current Registration and Certification by National Board for Respiratory Therapy and current PALS/NPR certification. Licensed in the State of New Jersey. Commitment to a healthy lifestyle as a model to participants and staff. Ability to perform necessary skills and competencies. Effective group process skills. Effective oral and written communication skills to express ideas clearly. Effective listening skills. Ability to pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to function competently in stressful situations and the changing work environment related to changing patient needs. Ability to work cooperatively with patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members (i.e. , physicians, Rehab, DI, Lab, etc.). Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations.
