As a Sales Representative - Industrial Coatings, you will manage existing accounts and new development of profitable new Industrial Coatings with an emphasis on Mid-West customers in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio! You will have previous experience in B2B sales related to manufacturing, general knowledge of paints or coatings, and an enthusiasm to grow existing and gain new customers through value sales while delivering on targeted growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Plan Development - develop and implement a territory business plan to support Industrial liquid, e-coat, and powder growth, by identifying target markets and segments, and developing related strategies.
  • Account management - develop relationships with base business personnel and end-user accounts to achieve plan.
  • Manage Internal Relationships - communicate sales strategy with company partners to ensure team approach and mutual success.
  • Functional/ Personal Development - remain up to date on PPG's Industrial portfolio of products and services.
  • Competitive Awareness - understands competition, their offerings (products and services) and develop counter programs.
  • Industry Awareness - identify and understand industry trends and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business, Engineering, or similar; OR equivalent combination of experience, training, and knowledge.
  • 3+ years' experience in B2B sales supporting Industrial, Commercial, or Automotive Coatings and/or Coating Distribution Channels.
  • Experience presenting value to customers and securing sales at all levels including business owners, procurements, product users, etc...
  • Proficient experience with CRM systems to track and manage customers and accounts; or equivalent experience with Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Travel 50% to domestic customers
