Registered Nurse - 36 hour/week - Midnight Shift - Henry Ford Jackson 7T - Neuro (Mixed Acuity) Progressive Care Unit Minimum of 6 months RN inpatient experience. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Ability to problem-solve Critical thinking skills and judgment necessary to assign and direct others in the delivery of patient care Knowledge about the care of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients Exceptional customer service skills Basic computer knowledge CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current Michigan Nursing license Current BLS or obtained during Patient Care Orientation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) Experience with neuro monitoring, neuro and stroke assessment, post-surgical care Professional Certifications to support a culture of nursing excellence Participation in Professional Advancement Ladder (PAL) Additional Information Organization: Henry Ford Jackson Hospital Department: IP Neuro Shift: Night Job Union Code: Not Applicable
