Experienced Cyber Security Policy Executive Strategic Planning professional

8 years' experience with writing policies, technical documents, strategic plans, designs, cybersecurity operations and procedures, as well as presenting and explaining those products to executives.

Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), Assessment & Authorization (A&A), or DoD cybersecurity compliance

BA/MA degree in computer science, information technology, or an equivalent science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM) degree from an accredited college or university.

DUTIES:

Support naval Cybersecurity Division dedicated to strengthening and protecting critical IT systems

Ensure they remain secure, compliant, and fully approved for operation under Department of Defense (DoD) standards.

Manage and enhance an enterprise-level Cybersecurity Program

Create lifecycle-developing policies, review and validate security documentation, performing risk assessments, and supporting system authorizations.

Write and document high-level cybersecurity policies and strategic plans as guided by program leadership.

Develop technical documentation including user manuals, reports, outlines, proposals, presentations, and summaries.

Provide regular project updates, including progress, issues, and completion status.

Offer consultation, guidance, and portfolio management to ensure compliance with DoD and federal cybersecurity requirements.

Support configuration management and software reengineering activities to assist with application consolidation, migration, and retirement.

Assist with program activities such as developing and maintaining Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), tracking progress, maintaining schedules for cybersecurity reviews, and updating web content management systems.

Prepare reports, metrics, and deliverables

Coordinate documentation scanning, data entry, and tracking

Respond to data calls, including the creation of reports, spreadsheets, and other supporting documentation using Microsoft Office tools

Support coordination and planning for audits, meetings, and secure media destruction efforts
