Location: Bremerton, Washington (In-person)

Type: Non-Exempt (Temporary)

Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (Flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs. Position is temporary and not expected to exceed 10 weeks. Start and end date will be approximately between May - September 2026.)

As a Data Analytics Intern, you'll... The Data Analytics Intern will work within the Workforce Development department, supporting our Employee Support functions. We are seeking a motivated Data Analytics Intern to join our Workforce Development team by transforming data from our annual employee engagement survey and enhancing our Workforce Development report using PowerBI. The intern will be responsible for pulling data from SurveyMonkey, creating visually appealing reports for executive presentations, and providing actionable insights. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in data analysis, visualization, and workforce development. This position will work with people of all abilities. Interns will gain direct work experience, professional & personal development workshops, mentorship & networking, and exposure to senior leaders in their field of interest during this paid internship.

  • Extract data from SurveyMonkey and import it into PowerBI for analysis.

  • Design and create visually compelling dashboards and reports in PowerBI that summarize employee engagement data for executive review.

  • Collaborate with the Workforce Development team to enhance the existing Workforce Development report in PowerBI.

  • Ensure data accuracy and maintain organized documentation of work processes.

  • Assist in identifying trends and insights from the survey data that support workforce development strategies.

  • Present findings and visualizations to leadership in an easy-to-understand format.

  • Tailor information based on site needs, customizing the dashboards and visualization based on feedback or input.

  • Provide support for ad-hoc data requests and other tasks as assigned.

  • Work on a collaborative intern cohort team project.

  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude.

  • Attend intern team meetings and trainings.

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Tessera Data Analytics Intern:

  • Preferably in the process of obtaining a BA/BS in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business, or a closely related field.

  • Previous experience in Power BI required.

  • Computer data management and word processing skills.

  • Ability to maintain a high standard of confidentiality, time management, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Must live within commutable distance of Bremerton, Washington and be able to commute a minimum of three days per week.

  • A valid state driver's license is preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
