Job Description

Thomson Reuters ONE PS Training Team is seeking an energetic Technical Trainer to join our dynamic, global team. In this role, you'll deliver expert training to customers and partners, empowering them to maximize efficiency, streamline workflows, and fully harness the transformative capabilities of our cutting-edge CoCounsel Legal software. As part of a high-profile investment in advanced AI technology, you'll help customers unlock the full potential of generative AI in legal workflows-making a direct impact at the forefront of legal technology and shaping innovative customer experiences.

As a Technical Trainer, you will play a vital role in empowering customers and partners to maximize their use of CoCounsel Legal and other legal products. You will collaborate closely with the Lead Curriculum Designer, Principal Curriculum Designer, Learning Experience Designer, and Professional Services Consultants to help develop a comprehensive training program spanning product, adoption, and business transformation. In addition to delivering engaging training sessions, you'll help create and maintain high-quality training content in a variety of formats-including instructor-led workshops, on-demand and eLearning courses, videos, and certification exams-ensuring that materials consistently reflect the latest product capabilities and drive impactful learning experiences.

About the Role

As a Technical Trainer, you will:

  • Lead product training with a primary focus on CoCounsel Legal; deliver training on Legal Tracker, HighQ, Westlaw, and Practical Law as business and customer needs evolve
  • Deliver multiclient workshops and singleclient (dedicated) sessions, virtually or onsite at customer, partner, or company locations
  • Partner with the Lead Curriculum Designer, Learning Experience Designer, Professional Services, SMEs, and customers to identify training needs and delivery methods for customer and partner training
  • Cocreate and continuously update training assets aligned to product releases across various formats such as live instructor-led workshops, webinars, office hours, on-demand workshops, eLearning, videos, certification exams, and toolkits
  • Maintain core materials (instructor and participant guides) to ensure accuracy, clarity, and accessibility
  • Collect and analyze learner feedback and training data (e.g., surveys, NPS, completion/adoption metrics) to drive continuous improvement and close curriculum gaps
  • Build and maintain deep product expertise in CoCounsel Legal and across the legal product portfolio
  • Proactively use generative Thomson Reuters AI tools to accelerate work, improve deliverables, and iterate quickly; continuously learns new AI features and best practices
  • Record time and engagement details to support accurate billing and utilization reporting; Submit timely expense reports for any business travel
  • Support training operations by delivering timely attendance reports and other operational tasks as needed (e.g. managing waitlists)
  • Work in-office at least three days per week as part of a hybrid schedule

About You

You're a fit for the role of Technical Trainer, if you have:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) with bar admission in at least one U.S. state (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a General Counsel office (preferred), or at least 2 years as a practicing attorney handling compliance or transactional matters
  • Experience with legal technology and/or AI-based platforms (e.g., CoCounsel Legal, Westlaw, Practical Law, Legal Tracker, HighQ)
  • Experience delivering live and virtual training to groups from ~10 to 50+ participants
  • Practice designing and facilitating practical, hands-on learning activities that drive adoption
  • Agility to manage technical issues, varied participant skill levels, and product changes while maintaining a positive learner experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex concepts clearly and simply
  • Customer-centric mindset with measurable training impact
  • Effectiveness working across a complex, matrixed organization to build alignment
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and delivering results on time
  • Strong collaboration and independent work habits
  • Strong technical skills leveraging generative and agentic AI, adaptable across diverse and emerging tech, with a curious mindset on the evolving AI-legal intersection
  • Willingness to travel for onsite training as needed

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $72,100 - $133,900.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
