Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Chemical in Oregon, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your presence and attention to detail support a secure environment for all individuals on-site. This position involves driving responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is required. You will be a visible representative of Allied Universal's values, providing excellent customer service and communication while supporting a culture that puts people first and values teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate, in a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols around the business property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel as needed to address issues and maintain a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
