Overview

Rapiscan Systems, an OSI Systems, Inc. company, designs, manufactures and markets security and inspection systems worldwide. Our products are used to inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs and other contraband. Rapiscan Systems security and inspection devices can be found in a wide range of locations such as airports, border crossings, railway stations, sea ports and terminals, government and military installations, and nuclear facilities.

Rapiscan is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 with extensive LabVIEW experience to join our engineering team. The candidate must have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining LabVIEW based software platforms. This role requires strong systems-level thinking, hands-on engineering skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to developing, maintaining, and supporting production LabVIEW software applications.
  • Contribute to new and novel LabVIEW based software solutions.
  • Integrate and interface with cameras, optical systems, and other peripherals.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to define system requirements and ensure robust implementation.
  • Perform system-level debugging, validation, and documentation.
  • Support deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems in lab and production environments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and standards.
  • Remote and field support of system commissioning team to assist with system configuration, hardware implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Company's Code of Ethics and Conduct. Ensure that direct report(s) are trained and evaluated on their knowledge and adherence to the Company's values, Code of Ethics and Conduct, and applicable compliance policies.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with LabVIEW development in a professional setting.
  • Experience with test, data logging, and real-time systems.
  • Experience with optical systems preferred (cameras, triggering, image handling, etc...)
  • Experience with C/C++ for building, deploying and maintaining libraries that are integrated into LabVIEW preferred.
  • MATLAB experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, DevOps).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations in the US and internationally is required < 10% of time.
