This is an on-site based role in San Antonio.

What you will do
The Supplier Development & Performance Manager is responsible for establishing and securing supplier project launches, sustainable supplier performance in on time delivery, quality, capacity, scalability, and sustainability.

This role will lead the implementation of new product launches, outsourcing project launches, utilizing APQP tools and processes, supplier evaluation and training, to drive part and process approval (PPAP), efficiency, and accountability in all aspects of quality, supplier capacity verification, surge capacity available, technical capabilities and key quality indicators at the supplier site

How you will do it

  • Help develop a culture of accountability by supporting tracking, action planning, and measurable improvement of critical product implementation.

  • Define the process mission, vision, tactics, goals, objectives, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and the measures that are aligned with the organization strategies.

  • Drive supplier capacity audits, review capabilities, and be in control of supplier's scalability.

  • Provides a structured problem-solving process to drive a solid root cause analysis for performance issues (Delivery and Quality) for assigned suppliers.

  • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) ensuring quality and part specification prior to shipping to JCI.

What we look for
Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business management, or supply chain management.

  • +8 years of experience in plant quality, supplier quality, supplier development, or continuous improvement centered in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain management. Preferably in a global, cross-cultural environment.

  • Direct experience of teaching, coaching, and leading suppliers to successful recoveries using the successful application of six sigma and lean mfg. tools is highly desirable.

  • Ability to execute a project plan and communicate results effectively across a wide audience

  • Excellent analytical and people skills with strong problem-solving capabilities.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in matrix organization and ability to manage and influence others while dealing with multiple priorities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and create positive outcomes

  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.

  • Tenacious, although professional when working with internal and supplier challenges.

  • Advanced Quality programs, related to new product integration, outsourcing scope of work, establishing new plants (Green Field)

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $112,000 - 150,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, andabilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) This role offers acompetitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. Thisposition includes a competitive benefits package.
