You will be focused on ensuring our cloud infrastructure is, secure, and perfectly configured to unleash the full potential of Copilot. You will architect and maintain the Azure and M365 environments using modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, with an understanding of how data governance, permissions, and Exchange Online directly influence AI efficacy and security.

Primary Focus: Microsoft 365 Copilot Integration & Management

  • Lead the end-to-end technical deployment, configuration, and governance of Microsoft 365 Copilot across the organization.
  • Be a subject matter expert on Copilot's integration with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Ensure organizational data is structured, secure, and compliant to maximize Copilot's utility and accuracy while following strict data privacy standards.

Secondary Focus: Azure Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering

  • Design, implement, and maintain a secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud foundation in Azure using Terraform.
  • Automate operational processes and enforce configuration consistency through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting.

You will work remotely from any of our approved states. #LI-Remote

What You'll Do:

  • Architect the technical rollout of Microsoft 365 Copilot, managing prerequisites, licensing, and tenant-wide configurations.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to establish data access boundaries and information protection policies tailored for AI use.
  • Configure and increase Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and sensitivity labels to govern the data Copilot can access.
  • Develop cloud resources in Azure using Terraform, ensuring infrastructure is version-controlled, reusable, and well-documented.
  • Create automation scripts (PowerShell, Azure CLI) to improve provisioning, deployment, and management tasks.
  • Manage identity and access solutions using Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Exchange Online, including mail flow, transport rules, and public folder governance, which are critical to Copilot's email context capabilities.
  • Manage SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams environments to ensure performance and data architecture for AI.
  • Implement and monitor security controls using Microsoft Defender XDR for cloud and M365 services.
  • Enforce compliance policies to meet internal and regulatory requirements, those improving AI and data processing.
  • Monitor Copilot usage patterns and cloud resource use to identify performance bottlenecks, improve costs, and ensure a high-quality user experience.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with a track record in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification is required.
  • Experience with the deployment, configuration, and management of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
  • Experience with Terraform for managing Azure infrastructure or other similar tools.
  • Experience with core Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, or Security).
  • Experience administering Microsoft Exchange Online, including hybrid configurations and mail flow management.
  • Experience with PowerShell for administration and automation.
  • Experience with cloud security principles, Microsoft Entra ID, and identity management.
  • Experience with DevOps methodologies (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

We believe real innovation comes from inclusion - where different experiences, perspectives and talents are celebrated. So if you're wondering whether SNHU is right for you, take the leap and apply. You might be just the person we're looking for.
