Seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a high-impact defense logistics and readiness program within the Extreme Environments Life Support Branch at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Panama City Division. This role supports the Chemical & Biological Defense - Individual Protection Equipment (IPE) Readiness Improvement Program, ensuring the mission-critical delivery, maintenance, and lifecycle sustainment of protective equipment across 16 geographically dispersed sites.

This position requires an accomplished leader with proven experience in defense logistics, program management, and enterprise systems that support military readiness and operational excellence.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Program Manager: Pay commensurate with experience.

Senior Program Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead day-to-day operations for a multi-site support program of 160+ personnel.
  • Manage full lifecycle sustainment for Individual Protection Equipment (IPE) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Oversee logistics, maintenance, inventory management (CMPro, DPAS), quality assurance, training, and scheduling functions.
  • Partner with government stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure compliance with cost, performance, and schedule requirements.
  • Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance deliverable quality.
  • Manage program budgets, monitor at-risk contract items, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure compliance with federal labor regulations, including Service Contract Act (SCA) and exempt classifications.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation, performance reports, and process improvement plans.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Senior Program Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Master's degree in IT Management or related field; Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in defense logistics, program or project management, or IT operations with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with DPAS, CMPro, or other enterprise logistics/ERP systems.
  • Experience managing federal contracts within DoD environments.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and personnel development skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; active or eligible for security clearance.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
