Unit Secretary

Part Time - Two 12-hr 7am-7pm shifts per week; Rotating every 3rd weekend

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Unit Secretary to join our team at Baptist Health Hardin. In this role, you will be responsible for performing clerical and receptionist duties for the nursing unit and coordinate patient flow under the direction of the Charge Nurse.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs clerical duties as related to admissions, discharges, and transfers.

• Send, receives, and communicates telephone messages to the appropriate persons in a timely manner.

• Coordinates patient appointments for testing and physician follow up

• Prioritizes work to meet patient care and unit needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
