Job Summary:
 
 The Clinical Supervisor, MWMG supports the Practice Manager by providing on-site supervision of day-to-day operations of the assigned practice. The Clinical Supervisor works with practice staff and physicians to promote efficient practice operations while delivering excellent customer service and functions as a clinician when required. 
 
 The supervisor serves as a key resource to all practice staff, and takes a lead role in orienting, training and monitoring the performance of practice staff. The supervisor ensures staff compliance with established policies and procedures and serves as a liaison between the practice, leadership, as well as other departments and external partners.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 
 - Assists Leadership in the recruitment, selection, orientation and retention process.
 - Participates in performance reviews for assigned Associates. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining staff compliance to performance expectations. 
 - Organizes, prioritizes, and delegates tasks of assigned Associates. Monitors workflow to maximize productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
 - Accountable for 24/7 staffing, coverage, and scheduling of assigned practice, including the creation and maintenance of on-call schedules. 
 - Acts as a resource and subject matter expert for physicians and staff members.
 - Participates in performance improvement activities and identifies opportunities for improving patient outcomes.
 - Assists with the development, revision, and enforcement of departmental policies, procedures, protocols, and standards to ensure quality care.
 - Assists the Practice Manager in the planning and management of the departmental budget as needed.
 - Oversees chart audits and participates in additional education for providers to ensure correct coding and documentation is followed. 
 - Oversees the credentialing process for providers. 
 - Responsible for assisting providers in additional education to resolve issues within EPIC, including correcting errors when appropriate.
 - Ensures physician's and other provider's charges and documentation are completed in a timely manner.
 - Assists with the resolution of issues impacting reimbursement as requested by billing office and/or Practice Manager.
 - Facilitates case management issues for patients and clinicians. 
 - Functions as a clinician when required.
 - Monitors and maintains office supply inventories.
 - Performs other duties as assigned. 
 
 
Qualifications: 
 - High school diploma or GED required.
 - Medical Assisting Certification or LPN license in the State of Virginia, required.
 - AHA Basic Life Support Provider CPR certification required.
 - Two years of Medical Assistant, LPN, or related clinical experience required.
 - One year of leadership experience in a health care setting required.
 - Experience communicating and partnering with Medical Staff and Community Providers required.
 - Experience with EPIC is preferred.
 - Coding experience is preferred.
