McKesson's People Analytics (PA) team delivers better people and business outcomes through data that is business informed, business relevant, usable, and actionable. As a member of the PA Team, the Senior People Analytics Consultant will deliver people analytics and insights to business leaders and senior HR leaders across multiple business units to drive workforce decisions. Through close partnerships with the PA team and HR, the Senior People Analytics Consultant will gain a sound understanding of business objectives and use consulting skills to provide and interpret insights from workforce data. The Senior People Analytics Consultant will directly support the workforce analytics needs of multiple business units and functions.

You will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior executives and HR leaders across the enterprise. This role is designed for a seasoned consultant with deep experience in executive engagement, enterprise product ownership, and enablement strategy. You will leverage your consulting background to drive business outcomes, influence leadership decisions, and deliver enterprise-level solutions that empower stakeholders with actionable insights and self-service tools.

The PA team needs an individual who is passionate about using data to drive business results, has a curious and client-focused mindset, and strong consulting and analytical skills. The right candidate for this role should be able to juggle multiple activities at a tactical level, as well as be proactive in identifying opportunities for continuous innovation and improvement in our analytics approaches, products, and services. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a client-facing consultant, scoping needs and translating executive challenges into actionable analytics and enablement solutions.

  • Influence and advise senior leadership, challenging assumptions and providing recommendations rooted in business context and workforce strategy.

  • Lead change management initiatives, empowering executives and HR leaders to leverage data-driven insights.

  • Build, own, and continuously improve enablement tools, frameworks, and self-service platforms (e.g., People Insights, Quarterly Business Review dashboards) that drive strategic decision-making

  • Gain a strong understanding of the client's business goals, strategy, and context

  • Use analytical skills to make data-driven workforce strategy recommendations that support business objectives

  • Partner closely with the PA team and HR to provide strategic decision support through data and analytics, aligning HR outcomes with business outcomes.

  • Communicate analytic findings to other analysts, HR, and business leaders.

  • Lead change management initiatives and empower clients with self-service tools.

  • Synthesize complex data into compelling stories and recommendations that resonate with executive audiences.

  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity, impact, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Contribute to the PA team's knowledge of analytical approaches, tools, and methodologies

  • Travel occasionally for team meetings and client-facing presentations

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience

Critical Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, advisory, or client-facing roles, preferably from a Big 4 consulting firm.

  • Proven track record of executive partnership and enterprise-level consulting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - approaches problems with logically, systematically, and with a curious mind - looks beyond the obvious and searches for deeper insights

  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with analytics and visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI) is a plus.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences - tells stories with data that resonate with stakeholders and maximize impact.

  • Ability to create dynamic and accessible visualizations that engage stakeholders quickly and influence decision-making

  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and a drive to deliver

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Databricks)

  • Experience with integrating AI into core processes, data warehouse tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good planning, organizing, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

  • Takes initiative and drives for solutions

  • High learning orientation - exploratory mindset and learning agility to adapt to new approaches

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related field or equivalent experience; Master's degree in Business Administration, Analytics, I/O Psychology a plus.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$110,300 - $183,800
