Are you looking for a temporary job in the Medical field? Virginia Cancer Specialists, an affiliate of McKesson Specialty Health and US Oncology, a leader in Cancer care, is seeking a Temporary Scheduling Clerk to work in our Adminstrative office in Fairfax Virginia. SCOPE: Under direct supervision, performs routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures such as photocopying, filing, posting information, and mail distribution for the office. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Answers all incoming calls; assesses callers' needs and directs to appropriate personnel. - Obtains and communicates messages in an accurate and timely manner. - Covers for other scheduling and administrative functions as requested. - Sorts, maintains, and distributes routine office records and correspondence according to structured procedures. - Performs clerical duties including answering phones, retrieving messages, making copies and filing. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent. Position is entry level and requires 0-2 years of office experience. Previous medical office scheduling experience a plus.
