Overview

TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

TRC Advanced Energy created a Workforce Development program to strengthen our connection to the local community and create enhanced employment opportunities for individuals desiring to enter the clean energy workforce.

TRC is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Energy Analyst Apprentice for a 14-week, paid Workforce Development program. In this role, you will develop the skills needed to assist with utility analysis, customer follow-ups, while also supporting and shadowing Account Managers. Your responsibilities will include performing a complete utility analysis, coordinating schedules, maintaining customer communication, administrative tasks, and some database entry. Additionally, you will be contributing to the largest energy auditing program in the country, which supports energy efficiency and clean energy incentives.

Candidates can sit anywhere within the US. Candidates in New Brunswick - New Jersey are strongly preferred Understanding NJ / territories will be helpful for his work.


Responsibilities

  • Conducting utility analysis and reviewing energy data.
  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings with customers
  • Supporting and shadowing Account Managers in their day-to-day activities.
  • Conducting Quality Assurance/Quality Control reviews of personal work.
  • Ensure correct and complete project documentation, including draft and final reports.
  • Data entry in CRM (database).
  • General administrative support of project managers.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills: proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Verifiable work history.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, ability to meet timelines, and ability to work with little supervision.
  • Reliable home Internet service.
  • Ability to set up a home office using company-provided equipment.
  • Prior office experience or experience working remotely.
  • Candidates with understanding of New Jersey territories and utility programs is highly desirable.
