Job Summary

Job Description

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* With Direct Supervision:
o Work with Engineering drawings and assist the Engineers, Designers and CAD Operators in the preparation of Engineering drawings
o Support New Product Development activities
o Other duties and activities as instructed by the manager
* Without Direct Supervision:
o Creation and development of new item numbers, bills of material structure, and documentation to support manufacturing
o Complete documentation and final review for ECN's and/or ECO's and deviations
o Support drawing revisions using latest software, with markups supplied
o Maintain the MRP database and support manufacturing discrete job changes
o Provide manufacturing engineering support as needed for all EPGA factories
o Coordinate and facilitate information exchange with other LS facilities/teams
* Duties and Responsibilities May Also Include:
o Review customer specifications and commercial/military standards to understand how they affect the requirements for generator and electronic control cabinet designs
o Review industry standards for requirements and compliance (UL, NEMA, NEC, IC, etc.)
o Create customer drawings and top-level assembly drawings for new products
o Participate with manufacturing and quality in response to requests for design improvements or drawing updates
o Respond to customer request for modification to drawings and solid models
o Programming of PLC's, PAC's, and HMI's
o Troubleshooting and testing of electronics and electrical control systems
o Manage customer test procedure creation and delivery when required
o Review and approve test data and documentation as delivered from the production facility
o Create and submit customer specific test reports and other deliverables with input from electrical and mechanical engineering
o Support manufacturing standard labor time process allocations (Routings)
o Review BOM's and compare them to customer drawings for processing of PPAP's
o Manage the new orders in engineering's worklist and assist in reporting for the department
Experience/Skills:
* 3-7 years related work experience
* Proficient with use of various software applications, including but not limited to: Oracle (ERP), Aras (PLM), AutoCAD, Creo, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office
* Good written/oral communication and organizational skills
* Knowledge of product construction and manufacturing processes
* Must be a US Citizen for positions at the North Mankato facility.
Education:
* Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience. May require vocational or technical education
