Overview

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist, internally referred to as our Rad Tech I or Diagnostic Radiology Tech. As our Radiology Tech your focus will be on conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures in our Surgery Department. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.

Shift's Available: Days

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 8-hour shift: 7:30a - 4:00p

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.
  • Perform Diagnostic Radiographic procedures according to department protocols, HFAP/TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
  • Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations.
  • participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities


Qualifications

Education and Training

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
  • ARRT-R
  • Current BLS accredited by the AHA
  • Familiar with State and Federal regulations
  • Proficient computer skills

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

  • One year of Radiography Tech experience
