Position: EVC Instructor

As an Environmental Care (EVC) Instructor, you'll play a vital role in supporting our mission by teaching and guiding our environmental care professionals-helping them deliver the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and service across our world-class hospital.


What You'll Do


  • Instruct Environmental Care Associates, Technicians, and Supervisors on proper cleaning, floor care, and waste management techniques.



  • Lead engaging training sessions that emphasize safety, infection prevention, and customer satisfaction.



  • Coordinate and prepare instructional sessions-scheduling, setting up training spaces, and maintaining materials and equipment.



  • Assess learner performance through observation, quizzes, and practical demonstrations.



  • Collaborate with the Training Manager and EVC leadership to identify learning needs and enhance departmental training programs.



  • Track training outcomes and provide feedback to staff and supervisors to ensure continuous improvement.




What You Bring


  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.



  • Experience:




    • At least 2 years of environmental care/services or related experience.



    • 1 year of experience in a unionized environment required.



    • Prior experience instructing, coaching, or training others preferred.





  • Skills:




    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.



    • Ability to read and understand English instructions and safety materials.



    • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.





  • Knowledge:




    • Understanding of safety standards, cleaning procedures, and equipment used in healthcare environments.

Salary Range: Minimum 20.22/hour - Maximum 33.38/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
