As an Manufacturing Operations Assistant Manager, you will help drive the safe, efficient, and high-performance delivery of our day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with production teams, supply chain, and site leadership to ensure that schedules, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved. Purpose of the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Operations Manager in leading daily site operations-bridging the gap between strategy and execution. This means coordinating fabrication activities, managing frontline teams, and ensuring that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and sustainably. You'll also play a key role in identifying improvement opportunities, ensuring material availability, and fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability that aligns with Worley's mission of delivering sustainable solutions for a better world.

Core Responsibilities

Leadership and Culture Support

  • Support the Manufacturing Operations Manager in providing daily leadership for cross-functional production teams.
  • Promote a culture built on safety, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead by example-encouraging engagement, accountability, and high performance across all levels.

Operational Execution and Oversight

  • Assist in managing the full production lifecycle-from material staging through fabrication, assembly, and preparation for field deployment.
  • Monitor operations to ensure alignment with production schedules, specifications, and quality expectations.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks to maintain steady operational flow.

Data and Performance Tracking

  • Support the collection and reporting of key operational metrics, such as productivity, material usage, throughput rates, and safety performance.
  • Provide actionable insights to help leadership make informed, data-driven decisions.

Team Coordination and Workforce Planning

  • Coordinate staffing, shift scheduling, and task assignments across production areas.
  • Work with supervisors and craft leads to align resources with project needs.
  • Support onboarding, training, and mentoring programs to strengthen team capability.

Inventory and Material Flow Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure material availability.
  • Assist in resolving supply chain issues that could impact production timelines.

Process Optimization and Compliance

  • Support implementation of standard operating procedures that drive consistency, safety, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with HSE and Quality teams to ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal standards.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and incident reviews as needed.

Stakeholder and Field Coordination

  • Help facilitate communication between fabrication and installation teams for seamless project handovers.
  • Prepare performance updates and operational summaries for key stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement and Sustainability

  • Contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives that reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Integrate sustainable manufacturing practices into everyday activities, aligned with Worley's sustainability goals.

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent hands-on experience considered).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Proven ability to coordinate teams, inspire collaboration, and lead with integrity.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, logistics, and material management systems.
  • Familiarity with lean principles, safety practices, and quality systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and drive improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
