The Role

The Talent Attraction & Acquisition (TAA) team for our Head Start programs is seeking an intern for Spring 2026. This virtual internship will provide you an opportunity to work with the Head Start TAA team and engage in the recruitment process and proactively creating talent pipelines to staff our Head Start classrooms and support services. In addition, you will utilize diverse sourcing strategies and networks for recruitment purposes while monitoring and maintaining compliance ensuring real time data is recorded and maintained daily.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

  • Utilize the tools & software that TAA at Save the Children utilizes (i.e., UKG Pro, Verified Credentials, Indeed, Handshake, etc.)
  • Support the offer and hiring process by engaging with candidates and clients, supporting the processing of pre-hire tasks (reference checks, background checks, medical checks, etc)
  • Support the launch of onboarding processes for new hires and work with HR staff to confirm work authorization documentation and preparation for first day orientation.
  • Support in moving ongoing TAA projects/tasks forward
  • Liaise between the TAA team and the Spring 2026 interns/fellows
  • Represent the TAA team on formative projects where needed, bringing information back to the team and soliciting input to bring well rounded solutions and recommendations from diverse perspectives
  • Other projects as assigned


Required qualifications for the role



  • Must be an actively enrolled Associate, Bachelor, Master or other post high school education program, or have graduated within 6 months of program start date
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals and teams

Classification: Intern / Fellow

Compensation: $17.00 - $17.95 / hour (depending on location)

Hours: maximum 24 hours per week

Dates: February 2, 2026 - April 10, 2026
