Medical Practice Representative Location: Downtown Baltimore, MD Work Type: On-site Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Placement Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months) Start Date: November 3, 2025 Interview Date: October 21, 2025 About the Role TEKsystems's client is seeking a Medical Practice Representative to join a high-volume, fast-paced medical office in Baltimore. This is an entry-level opportunity with potential for permanent placement in a leading healthcare organization. Key Responsibilities * Schedule patient appointments * Manage check-in and check-out processes * Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations and referrals * Conduct pre-checks for insurance and documentation ahead of visits * Perform heavy administrative tasks in a high-volume setting (175 patients/day) * Provide excellent customer service to patients and providers Required Qualifications * 1-3+ years of experience in a medical office (front desk, medical secretary, MOA) * Strong scheduling and customer service skills * Preferred experience with insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations * EPIC system experience is a plus Work Environment * Busy practice with 175 patients per day * Dress code: Scrubs or business casual * Parking: $3/day during contract (garage/street/public); discounted garage rate upon permanent hire Requirements * Drug Test * Background Check * Medical Clearance (Flu shot required) Why This Role is Open * Due to a recent resignation, the practice is seeking a reliable and skilled representative to support growing patient volumes and provider needs. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
