Are you a servant leader with the ability to mentor, coach, and inspire our PSC employees in our Rail Operations and Logistics services? Work Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shift, 12-hour shifts (12PM-12AM), every other weekend off.

Pay Range: Starting at $27.00/hr with opportunities for advancement

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The overall guiding expectation is that the Switching Leader will actively engage with our customer's site leader(s) and full-time field employees to ensure that all rail operations under his or her direction at the plant are striving to achieve excellent performance in the areas of safety, environmental and overall job quality. In this role the Crew Leader will have reporting responsibility to the overall Site Leader.


  • Clearly communicates goals around operating performance
  • Participates in safety meetings and overall training initiatives
  • Performs safety observations in the field and identifies trends or areas of improvement
  • Ensures that all incidents are investigated and participates directly in significant incidents
  • Works closely with the field employees and customer to identify improvement areas, efficiencies and help implement them
  • Ensures positive recognition is occurring for good performance
  • Identifies future leaders and creates individual development plans
  • Performs annual performance evaluations with field employees
  • Ensure procedures, policy requirements, and training is executed
  • Strong customer service mindset and working through exceptions that the team may encounter during shift
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job


Job Qualifications:

  • Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
  • May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
