Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Wage: $50,000 - $52,000/year We are seeking an HR Coordinator to support a dynamic, high-traffic Human Resources office with our Rockford, IL client. This contract to hire role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on helping employees, and can handle day-to-day HR activity with professionalism. This onsite position begins with HR administrative responsibilities but offers the opportunity to grow into a broader HR Generalist capacity over time. Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM M-F. HR Coordinator Responsibilities: - Maintain employee files and HR records - Assist with walk-in employee questions and requests and serve as first point of contact for employee questions - Provide general support to the HR team - Troubleshoot and resolve basic HR and payroll issues independently - Direct employees appropriately with minimal supervision - Collaborate with temporary staffing partners - Assist with payroll-related inquiries and PTO tracking - Coordinate employee recognition and engagement events and community outreach activities Qualifications for HR Coordinator: - Previous HR, office administration or coordinator experience needed - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook - Experience with HRIS systems; Paycom preferred - Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills - Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism - Comfortable working onsite and engaging with employees in person You'll Thrive in This Role If You: - Enjoy engaging with employees throughout the day in a busy HR office - Take initiative to solve problems and follow through independently - Stay organized while managing multiple priorities - Bring dependability, confidentiality, and a people-first attitude to every task If interested in this contract to hire HR Coordinator position in Rockford, IL, please apply now.
