MaineHealth is currently seeking a Program Manager to oversee the education and research aspects of the Consortium for Healthcare Education and Training (CHET), including development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation. Works with other teams and ensures that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and in coordination with the work teams. Oversee the work of additional staff if applicable.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator - both written and verbal-with strong organizational skills, a flexible mindset, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Experience in the development and review of research literature and familiarity with learning management systems such as Canvas, BrightSpace, or Blackboard is a plus.

This is a Hybrid position with travel and onsite requirements as needed. Based on the mission of our program, applicants should reside in the State of Maine.

This position will manage all aspects of the CHET Education and Research Program.

Specific elements:

  • Scholarly writing, publication, literature search
  • Mentorship of summer internship scholarly projects
  • Partnership with the Rural Education Leadership Academy scholars around educational projects
  • Oversee the development and delivery of educational resources through the iHELP Maine LMS Software

Engages in curriculum development utilizing published strategies for development of high-quality educational experiences. Co-develops associated evaluations (learners, faculty and program) to demonstrate value of education

Coordinates need assessments for educational program development including surveying stakeholders (patients, learners, faculty, content experts, etc.), literature review, data analysis of publicly available assessments

Provides mentorship for grant-related scholarly projects including summer interns, Rural Education and Leadership Academy (RELA) scholars

Engages with and supports grant leadership in the production and dissemination of scholarly activity (publications and presentations)

Collects relevant data and background information needed to plan new initiatives, including literature searches, telephone and personal interviews, review of secondary data sources and related material, policy analysis, surveys and focus groups when appropriate.

Develops program work plan and timelines; monitoring timeline to assure timely completion of program tasks.

Seeks outside funding sources, when appropriate, and assists with coordinating and/or writing grant proposals in conjunction with the MaineHealth Grant Writer or another designee.

Plan and assist with program evaluation, ensuring coordinated data collection, outcomes measurement and evaluation, data feedback to providers on outcomes measures related to projects across the State of Maine.

Summary:

The Program Manager - MMCP role is responsible for all operational aspects of the assigned program, including development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation. Works with other teams and ensures that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and in coordination with the work teams. Oversees the work of additional staff if applicable.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or relevant field required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Licensure may be preferred or required based on setting.
  • Experience: Three years of related healthcare work experience required.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Able to lead work teams. Effective communication skills
