The Office of Enrollment Operations is seeking a software developer with CRM experience, preferably as a Salesforce developer or administrator, or related technological experience to fill our Enterprise Systems Developer III position. Apply now to join our team!

The Enterprise Systems Developer III is responsible for enterprise-level software development and configuration as well as resolving unusual or unique enterprise system issues, which may require significant research to solve problems and implement best practices. This position frequently collaborates with internal and inter-departmental technical team members and external software providers and anticipates on-going campus-wide enterprise systems needs.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience

  • Certified Salesforce Developer
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, or a related field, and more than five years of technical experience
  • Familiarity with Boomi integration platform
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Education Cloud, CRM Analytics, and/or third-party add-on modules
  • Experience as a Salesforce developer and/or Salesforce admin is highly desired

Other Qualifications
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement feature enhancements through coding and configuration for the admission and recruitment Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) platform, data mart reporting framework, Boomi middleware software, and other enterprise application systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance of the admission and enrollment components of Salesforce Education Cloud and implement fixes timely, as needed.
  • Develop new solutions for both small and large projects across multiple platforms with a focus on Salesforce.
  • Responsible for software design, development and configuration, version control, tracking, server-side scripts, and testing and promoting new configurations and fixes from lower environments into production.
  • Mentor staff in multiple software applications related to data transformation/movement and Salesforce.
  • Mentor, train and lead a software development team; identify training needs and suggest/provide learning opportunities.
  • Interact with university stakeholders across academic and administrative departments to perform need assessments, requirements analysis, project prioritization, and technology consultation related to Salesforce and other enterprise applications.
  • Research future enrollment technology strategies, vendor solutions, and automation tools including AI, and work towards a software development roadmap including system integration processes; provide input to management.
  • Develop and foster a customer-focused culture within the Enrollment Technology Team based upon information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) industry standard practices, resulting in the alignment of enrollment technology services that meet or exceed institutional needs.

Remote Work Notice
Following successful completion of an initial training period, a hybrid work schedule may be available, subject to business needs and departmental approval. Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be cancelled.
