What You Will Do: Participate and support projects that assist government finance departments in preparing for their annual audit Perform bank reconciliations, pension and post-employment benefit accruals, lease and subscription-based information technology arrangements, capital asset tracking and depreciation, and other annual accounting entries Assist in assessments of client's finance-related internal controls and make recommendations for improvement Assist in the implementation of new GASB standards Assist in the drafting of annual comprehensive financial reports using the firms in-house web-based platform Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting and/or consulting Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree Prior public accounting or consulting experience Experience working within the government or public sector industry Current and valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license #LI-CH1 Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Pursuant to Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range displayed is for the Colorado market.
