Moog Defense Groupis the premier motion and flow control solutions provider for markets including missiles, turreted weapons systems, military ground vehicles, military radar, Naval vessels, and human-rated space vehicles. Emerging areas of focus include metal additive manufacturing, blockchain for supply chain, and sensor integration.

Our Engineering team is looking for a Project Engineer to join them in Orrville, Ohio.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in bringing cutting-edge actuator technologies from development into full-scale production, while supporting the growth of our machining and manufacturing capabilities.

As a Project Engineer, youwill:

  • Design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems that will be used to test the products of Moog, Inc.

  • Establish and monitor engineering project budgets and schedules.

  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.

  • Prepare successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and shoulder the responsibility for writing the technical volume.

  • Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.

  • Coordinate and support the procurement and assembly of test equipment.

  • Work closely with the internal program teams to provide the design of specialized test equipment, systems architecture and interface definition, and requirements validation.

  • Lead the design process and provide technical leadership within Moog's program scope.

Here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aeronautical, or electrical engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience -OR- a MS degree in engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in the design, analysis, development and production of complex electromechanical hardware.

  • Experience with component design, development and verification testing.

  • Project leadership experience is highly desirable.

Salary Range Transparency:

Orrville, OH $95,000.00-$131,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
