What You Will Do:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing facility and lead a team of maintenance technicians and a receptionist to reduce downtime

  • Address facility issues, coordinate office and cubicle assignments, move furniture and equipment, and coordinate and escort vendors on-site

  • Identify problems, recommend solutions and improve safety and facility functionality

  • Maintain an OSHA compliant facility and coordinate efforts with safety manager and OSHA and other local or state officials

  • Inspect equipment and machinery regularly, coordinate maintenance and repairs to avoid downtime

  • Coordinate special projects with internal and external customers as needed

  • Manage operational costs and capex projects

  • Identify training needs and provide coaching and guidance to the team

  • Compile and present equipment down time and repair status as well as project status

  • Regularly drive company vehicles to pick up or deliver materials or tools

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) and five (5) years of manufacturing facilities coordination

  • One (1) year in a leadership role

  • Strong understanding of the manufacturing process

  • Knowledge and understanding of building codes, safety standards, construction practices and environmental considerations

  • Advanced project, organization and time management skills

  • Intermediate computer skills (including Microsoft Office products) and ability to communicate, create, and access information

  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly and effectively

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Meet company driver standards and have an acceptable driving record

  • Ability to read and interpret building drawings and schematics

  • Follow all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements and address unsafe behavior and conditions proactively and professionally

  • Regularly and predictably attend work and be punctual and work in excess of 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week, including some weekends, as required to meet business needs

  • Ability to interact with employees in all departments and at all levels

  • Work in an unsupervised environment and exercise independent judgment

  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks or moving from work side to another.

  • Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

  • Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

  • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.

  • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.

  • Visual Acuity: Required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as performing mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, and to operate motor vehicles.

Work Environment:

  • Indoor and outdoor environmental conditions - Activities occur indoors and outdoors.

  • Extreme heat - Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.

  • Hazards - Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals.

  • Atmospheric conditions - One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, or poor ventilation.

  • Oils - There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
