BlueHalo, an AV company, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated FP&A Analyst (Junior to Mid-Level) to join our growing Finance team in support of key defense programs. In this role, you will help drive financial transparency and strategic decision-making by contributing to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-term planning efforts across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional to work cross-functionally and develop a strong foundation in government contracting and program finance. Key Responsibilities
Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes for assigned programs or business units
Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including variance analysis versus budgets and forecasts
Build and maintain financial models to support program tracking, scenario planning, and resource allocation
Collaborate with Program Managers, Contracts, and other internal stakeholders to align financial plans with operational goals
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), cost drivers, and financial health metrics
Assist in developing presentations and reports for leadership reviews, internal reporting, and executive briefings
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial planning and reporting through process improvements or automation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
1 to 4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related finance role
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic financial modeling
Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as program management, operations, or engineering
Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with government contracting or the defense industry
Experience with financial planning systems or ERP platforms
Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM) or government program financial reporting
Experience supporting indirect cost planning or rate analysis
Interest in process automation or use of tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
