POSITION SUMMARY:

Sugarbush is seeking a Public Events Assistant to join the Sugarbush team for the winter season to assist the Events Supervisor in all public events at Sugarbush Resort, on mountain and off mountain. Planning, coordinating, and execution of all public events and maintain a high level of professionalism. Event assistant is responsible for several elements of the set-up, prior to the event on all event days, including, but not limited to adjusting table layouts, move/adjust furniture indoor and outdoor, chair set-up and breakdown, and maintaining general cleanliness of all event spaces. Public Events Assistant requires availability on weekends and holidays. This is a part-time seasonal position paying $20-$22.50 depending on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Coordinate resort events with Mountain Operations, Facilities, Food & Beverage, Marketing, Public Relations.
  • Assist in Event-day management, coordinate and oversee event volunteers.
  • Daily duties will include rolling tables, and moving chairs, as well as setting tables and cleaning facilities.
  • Responsible for timely and safe breakdown of meeting rooms after event completion.
  • Maintain clear and open communication between all staff members for overall event success.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effective communication skills, oral & written.
  • Must have understanding and experience of AV equipment.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness.
  • Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards.
  • Must work well with a team and able to work independently.
  • Must have weekend and holiday availability.
  • Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time. Must be an early-riser and willing to work late into the evening on some occasions.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and stay on task.
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalency, bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Maintain a current driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must have ability to ski and ride expert terrain.
