The Staff Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as established by the staff physical therapist (PT) following the patient's evaluation. The PTA assists with the restoration of patient functioning following injury, disease or physical disability and to prevent further disability. The PTA assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. PTAs at HMH may treat patients who are hospital acute care in-patients and/or out-patients.I.
