In this mid-level Mechanical Design Engineer role, you'll be at the forefront of our electrification initiative, transforming traditional pneumatic pumps into cutting-edge electric drive systems. You'll own the full product lifecycle-from concept sketching and component design to testing, supplier collaboration, and launch. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on new product development, cost-saving (I2V) projects, and quality improvements, all while collaborating with a globally distributed engineering team. We're looking for someone who brings real-world design experience, ideally with pumps, pressure vessels, or rotating equipment, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities :
- Mechanical Design & Development: Own the design, prototyping, qualification, and testing of pumps and related components across assigned projects.
- Perform Engineering Analysis: Evaluate designs for durability, performance, safety, and efficiency using tools like FEA, MathCAD, and MATLAB.
- Material & Manufacturing Process Selection: Choose appropriate materials and manufacturing methods (e.g., casting, injection molding) to meet design and performance requirements.
- Ensure Compliance & Documentation: Maintain adherence to third-party certifications, company standards, and project specifications through accurate documentation and layout reviews.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global engineering teams (USA, China, India), suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive product development and continuous improvement.
- Support Product Launch & Lifecycle: Assist in transitioning designs to production, including testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for mechanical and quality issues.
- Project & Cost Management: Act with ownership to manage design timelines, component selection, and cost control throughout the development process.
- Promote Safety & Operational Excellence: Uphold safety and environmental standards while implementing systems that improve productivity and reduce waste.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's in engineering (Mechanical preferred) with 3+ years of professional product design experience, ideally including hands-on testing.
- Proficiency with CREO or similar 3D modeling tools, and experienced with Excel, MathCad, MATLAB, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in mechanical equipment design (ideally with powertrain and electromechanical systems), with the ability to develop test plans, analyze results, and apply knowledge of material selection and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, casting).
- Ability to manage smaller cross-functional projects, with familiarity in the NPD phase-gate process and a solid understanding of design for manufacturability and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9000).
- Strong collaborator with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and coordinate with international engineering teams (China, India), supported by excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Familiarity with product and component design principles, including material selection, load considerations, and chemical compatibility, as well as manufacturing methods like machining, injection molding, or metal casting.
- Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including pressure envelope design and seal interface considerations.
- Exposure to Design for Six Sigma tools such as DFMEA, 8D, DOE, or DFMA.
- Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and general machining or machine shop practices.
