What this job involves: As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of building systems while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. You'll perform hands-on maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life safety systems while providing exceptional customer service to building occupants. What your day-to-day will look like: Safely operate and maintain facility systems in accordance with government and regulatory requirements * Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems * Monitor equipment performance, record readings, and make adjustments to ensure optimal operation * Respond to customer service requests and emergency situations in a timely, professional manner * Conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and enforce safety protocols throughout the facility * Coordinate with outside contractors and monitor work quality and pricing * Maintain accurate records and assist with incident investigations as needed Desired or preferred experience and technical skills: * Universal Technician Certification for CFCs (or ability to obtain within 90 days) * Experience with computer-controlled building automation systems * Knowledge of thermodynamic, electrical, and mechanical systems * Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel * Trade school education in HVAC, electrical, or related field * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities * Excellent customer service and communication skills Required Skills and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent * Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical trade OR HVAC/refrigeration trade, or equivalent combination of education and experience * Valid U.S. driver's license with clean driving record * Ability to work with proper personal protective equipment (PPE) * Physical ability to perform frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and overhead work Estimated compensation for this position is: The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed.
