  • Maintain clean and organized preparation and recovery areas following infection control, OSHA, EHS, and radiation safety standards.
  • Perform equipment cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation for anesthesia-specific equipment (ECG, blood pressure monitors, capnographs, ventilators, and gas analyzers).
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Direct Patient Care:

  • Assist with patient restraint, venipuncture, TPR, bladder expression, and positioning.
  • Support anesthetists with monitoring using IV pumps, ECG, pulse oximeters, capnographs, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Participate in CPR and life-saving procedures as needed.
  • Work safely around sick animals, anesthetic gases, cleaning agents, and zoonotic diseases, following all hospital safety standards.

Departmental Coordination & Teaching:

  • Record and communicate patient and diagnostic data using hospital information systems.
  • Support orientation, teaching, and mentoring of veterinary students, interns, residents, and new staff.
