We are seeking a skilled and driven Facilities Engineer to support the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical facilities systems that enable advanced semiconductor manufacturing. This role is essential in ensuring uninterrupted production, maintaining environmental and safety standards, and supporting capacity expansion projects. Key Responsibilities: Facilities Operations & Maintenance:
- Monitor, operate, and maintain critical facility systems, including HVAC, CDA (Clean Dry Air), DI water, UPW (Ultra-Pure Water), vacuum, gas distribution, exhaust, electrical distribution, and wastewater treatment systems.
- Troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure equipment operates at optimal performance levels to meet cleanroom requirements and manufacturing demands.
Project Engineering & Execution:
- Plan and manage facility infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and retrofits to support manufacturing and R&D needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including process engineering, EHS, and construction-to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for facility systems.
- Evaluate and select HVAC equipment (AHUs, chillers, fans, HEPA filters, etc.) based on performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Support sustainability and energy conservation initiatives.
Monitoring & Control Systems:
- Utilize Building Management Systems (BMS) and SCADA to monitor and optimize facility operations.
- Analyze system data to improve reliability, efficiency, and capacity planning.
- Ensure compliance with ISO cleanroom standards (e.g., ISO 14644) and facility environmental requirements (temperature, humidity, pressure differentials, particulate levels).
Documentation & Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, maintenance records, and project reports.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reduce costs, and enhance operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 3-7 years of facilities engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a related high-tech industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, data centers, advanced manufacturing).
Technical Knowledge:
- Experience with cleanroom utilities and critical infrastructure systems.
- Familiarity with BMS/SCADA systems, P&IDs, and control systems.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, chilled water, UPW, CDA, bulk gas systems, and power distribution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE license or EIT certification
- Experience with LEED, ISO 14001, or energy efficiency initiatives
- Project management experience (PMP or equivalent certification a plus)
- Familiarity with SEMI standards
