Position Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the PAR team to meet the strategic goals of their respective group. This lead position ensures that the team is providing the necessary support, follow-up, and documentation for their assigned facilities. This lead position will collaborate between the CBO Director and the team to prepare and review ACTS reports, assisting with development and coaching opportunities within the PAR team, and resolve escalated claims and/or billing issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the day-to-day team requirements and goals are being met with the PAR team by providing ongoing education and training with new and current employees. Manage the on-boarding checklist for all new employees including 30,60-, 90-, and 6-month reviews.
  • Monitors the PAR team activities to ensure the team is providing the necessary support, follow-up, and documentation for their assigned facilities.
  • Prepares and reviews ACTS reports identifying trends and claims or billing issues. Notifies and collaborates with the Director on resolving immediate issues. Works with appropriate PAR on retraining or other necessary actions to correct.
  • Resolve escalated issues relating to the patient accounts and negotiate any overdue balance to recover payments form patients.
  • Oversees contracts and single patient agreements to ensure appropriate reimbursement is received. Reviews each eligibility of benefits (EOB) for proper reimbursement and answer inquiries and correspondence from patients and insurance companies to facilitate payment.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate/GED Required Vocational Technical School Graduate preferred
  • 3-5 Years Related work experience required
  • Understands billing requirements for commercial payers and Medicaid.
  • Demonstrates understanding of both UB04 claim form, CMS 1500 claim form, and Explanation of Benefits. Understands which insurance require which type of claim form.
  • Knowledge of basic medical coding and third-party operating procedures and practices
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively with and interact with patients and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner that adheres to FRN's Mission and Statement of Values
  • Read and Understand an Explanation of Benefits - Remittance Advice
  • Average Skill level with Microsoft, Excel, Word.
