Position Title:Manager, End-user Engineering Department:Information Systems Job Description:

The Mgr End User Engineering provides technical and managerial leadership in the design, planning, operation, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of endpoint administration. This position ensures continuity and alignment of the infrastructure with strategic business requirements and participates in architecting the endpoint infrastructure and in the development of guidelines, procedures, and standards. This position must stay abreast of the latest technological developments to ensure service levels proactively meet or exceed company requirements and service level agreements with key stakeholders and vendors. Administrative duties including resource management, budgeting, presenting team status, and vendor relations are all essential duties.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of secure and scalable endpoint solutions for the entire enterprise

  • Provide leadership, coordination, and communication for projects involving systems solutions

  • Develop and maintain policies, architectures, frameworks, roadmaps, and standards that deliver the strategic IT goals, business priorities, and comply with technical and industry/regulatory standards

  • Supervise Systems Engineering team to address day-to-day issues and develop and execute longer term initiatives

  • Assess emerging industry trends; anticipate and develop strategic solutions

  • Participate in Architecture Review Board governance for project solutions

  • Mentor and manage team members both technically and professionally to develop a mature team capable of meeting business requirements

General Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree required.

Experience: 5 or more years of experience in voice network engineering with at least 3 years of progressive leadership experience required.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: One of the following certifications required within 2 years of hire:

  • VMware Certified Professional - Desktop Management

  • MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage a team

  • Expert knowledge in developing technical documentation and architectural diagrams

  • Expert knowledge in scripting and automation tools for voice system management

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Familiarity with SD-WAN and other advanced networking technologies

  • Expert knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise architecture frameworks

  • Effective and professional communication and interpersonal skills
