TITLE: Account Director

LOCATION: Remote

COMP RANGE: $110,000 - $140,000/yearly plus bonus

Griffith Foods is hiring an Account Director who is responsible for achieving sales in the Retail and Other Channels Segments outlined in the annual budget and Long-Range Plan. The Account Director manages planning and execution against volume, net sales and contribution margin objectives and is instrumental in initiating and developing new business at targeted accounts within their business segment.

As an Account Director, your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Planning: Provides strategic input that reflects marketplace and customer requirements into the Griffith Foods U.S. annual sales & marketing planning process. The input should focus on specific customer strategies and tactics that will result in a final plan that can be executed to achieve Long-Range Plan objectives.
  • Market and Account Planning: Establishes plans, priorities, objectives, and strategies that deliver Griffith Foods U.S. objectives within defined corporate goals and are consistent with the Long-Range Plan.
  • Sales/Volume Execution: Achieve/exceed volume & profit goals for targeted customers within their respective territory.
  • Customer Development: The Account Director should penetrate key customers by selling the total Griffith Foods portfolio and by focusing on adding value and facilitating the execution of strategic initiatives to achieve an on-going competitive advantage.
  • Business Development: The Account Director will leverage Griffith Foods core capabilities to acquire new customers that are consistent with Griffith Foods Long-Range Plan.
  • Sales Operational Effectiveness: Effectively manage administrative responsibilities including forecasting, Sales & Operation Planning support, account planning, Customer Relationship Management utilization, project management processes, etc.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA is preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in the food industry.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining business relationships.
  • Experience with customized and private-label food products.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals and functional areas within the company and outside the company.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • This position requires 50-60% travel.
