Inova Foundation is looking for a dedicated Foundation Finance Analyst to join the Team. This hybrid role will be full-time working Monday - Friday day shift.

The Foundation Finance Analyst will assist the Sr. Director Foundation Finance & Gift Administration on day-to-day operations and the use of donated funds across the Inova Health System. To help achieve our mission, the Foundation Finance Analyst will perform a variety of accounting, financial and administrative tasks to ensure complete and accurate Foundation financial reporting, invoice processing and payroll reimbursements. Foundation Finance Analyst Job Responsibilities:



  • Provide daily support to the Sr. Director Foundation Finance & Gift Administration, and other Foundation staff in finance, Gift Administration and Operations.
  • Assist users in accessing Foundation financial information and in understanding the economic and operational implications of their data.
  • Facilitate the utilization of donated funds, the process for requesting philanthropic dollars and the net asset release of Foundation funds.
  • Manages data entry in the Project Module, tracking fund encumbrances and recordkeeping of applications to utilize Foundation funds. Coordinate the production and distribution of fund balance reports and other fund-related reports.
  • Manage designations and views in Dynamics for efficient reporting related to use of donated funds. Manage journeys in Dynamics for quality assurance and optimization.
  • Perform Accounts Payable functions such as distribution coding, invoice submission, supplier set up and vendor relations. Prepares, sends and requests W-9s to Accounts Payable, payers and processes corrections.
  • Facilitate training on the use of funds process, navigating the online application, accessing financial reports on Teams, and submitting supporting documentation for reimbursements.
  • Manage and facilitate the full process of payroll requests and related net asset releases.
  • Assists in month-end closing activities by coding transactions for reconciliation purposes.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's in accounting, finance, business, management or related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of Administration experience and 4 years of Accounting/Finance experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous accounting experience preferred.
