About the Role:

This role focuses on editorial governance, knowledge article management, work instruction development, and AI-driven content enhancement to ensure the quality and accuracy of internal documentation. Responsibilities include reviewing, editing, and refining content such as Knowledge Articles (KAs), SharePoint materials, and other critical resources to uphold consistency, clarity, and adherence to organizational guidelines.

Additionally, the role involves creating and updating work instructions and supporting AI chat capabilities by maintaining content alignment with company standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, collaboration with subject matter experts, and the ability to improve editorial processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Work Mode
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office three days per week.

Your Responsibilities Include:

1. Editorial Governance and Knowledge Article Management:



  • Review, edit, and format various internal documents, including KAs and SharePoint content, ensuring grammatical precision, clarity, and adherence to company standards.
  • Maintain high editorial standards by implementing consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all documentation.
  • Work independently to identify and correct errors, ensuring quality without frequent intervention from document authors.
  • Manage the KA lifecycle, including creation, review, approval, publication, and retirement, ensuring content remains current and relevant.
  • Collaborate with content owners to ensure KAs are accurate, searchable, and aligned with user needs and organizational policies.
  • Monitor KA usage metrics and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and content optimization.


2. Work Instruction Development & Process Documentation:



  • Develop comprehensive work instructions, providing clear and structured guidance to users.
  • Review and refine existing process documents, enhancing readability, usability, and effectiveness.
  • Ensure instructions are detailed, accurate, and aligned with operational best practices.
  • Collaborate with process owners and subject matter experts to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Implement standardized formats for documentation, ensuring consistency across organizational resources.


3. Collaboration with Stakeholders & Content Authors:



  • Work closely with subject matter experts to understand technical content and document requirements.
  • Provide constructive editorial feedback, ensuring clarity, consistency, and logical flow.
  • Establish a structured process for managing editorial revisions, categorized as:


    • Editorial Quality Updates (grammar, punctuation, clarity)
    • Content Change Requests (procedural changes, technical updates)



4. Quality Assurance & Compliance:



  • Lead initiatives to maintain high-quality, error-free documentation that enhances company credibility.
  • Establish and refine editorial review processes to improve efficiency and reduce document revisions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and external audit requirements, mitigating documentation errors that could impact company reputation.


5. AI Chat Enhancement & Knowledge Management:



  • Contribute to the development and refinement of AI-driven chat capabilities, ensuring accuracy and clarity in AI-generated responses.
  • Review, edit, and optimize AI-generated scripts, responses, and knowledge articles to ensure linguistic precision and user-friendliness.
  • Collaborate with AI development teams to enhance conversational AI performance and maintain alignment with internal knowledge management standards.
  • Conduct periodic testing and evaluation of AI interactions, identifying areas for improvement in content accuracy and clarity.


6. Training & Documentation Support:



  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on best practices for document creation, editing, and AI content management.
  • Serve as a primary resource for inquiries related to documentation formatting, editorial standards, and process improvements.



RequiredQualifications:




  • Experience:


    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical writing, document editing, or knowledge management.
    • Prior experience with process documentation, AI-driven chat systems, or SharePoint content management is a plus.


  • Skills:


    • Exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation, and editorial standards.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, or equivalent document management platforms.
    • Familiarity with AI chat platforms or conversational AI tools is beneficial.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, working both independently and collaboratively.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and process-driven thinking.
    • Understanding of industry standards for documentation, knowledge management, and editorial best practices.


  • Education:


    • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field preferred.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
