Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: The Milieu Manager supervises all milieu management functions for all in-patient units and staff, including clinical programming modules/activities. Supervision includes, but is not limited to, overseeing clinical programming, interactions with patients, and the implementation of new programs and in-services as needed. Esnure Nursing staff are held accountable for their professional behavior, including compliance with supervision of observation rounds, boundaries, and interactions. Serves as a mentor to Milieu Supervisors, Program Specialists, Lead Mental Health Specialists, and Mental Health Specialists by providing ongoing supervision, training, ole-modleing and oversight of clinical activities within the milieu. Ensures schedule compliance, safety initiatives, and effective communication with subordinates. Assists with the implementation of clinical, specialized, and alternative programming. Ensures that restrictive interventions are a last resort and that clinical program manuals are up to date. Guarantees the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, and support for activities of daily living. Conducts patient safety environmental rounds on all units and ensures reconcilation. For Benefit information, please visit UHS Benefits Service Center Qualifications JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Education: Bachelor or Masters Degree in Humand Services/Clinical Psychology preferred. Experience: Minimum of three years experience working with psychiatric patient populations and management experience preferred. Licensure/Certification: CPI Trainer Certification preferrred. Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, CPI leadership skills, diagnostic understanding behind behaviors often exhibited within milieu and CPR training.
